L- Quite deep chestnut, pours clear with an instantly vanishing patch of foam.
S- It has a pungent smell, rich and deep yet 'bright', hard to define (unsual!)
T- It's certainly bright, more-so than I was expecting for a 7.5%. In fact it has quite a sour facet to it too.
F- The slightly sharp/sour note note dominates. It's a fresh can but I'm honestly unsure if this beer might have 'turned' or it's just something very unorthodox. For example the beer currently seems to have no carbonation at all.
O- What to make of this? I've had a Yorkshite Stingo beer before and enjoyed it, deep/rich etc. This one... it reminds me of rough edges you find in small-batch Normandy 'farmhouse cider'. It has parallels, rustic with sour notes and very low carbonation. I don't think it works for me in a beer.
440ml can BB: 25/08/2021 Bought from TremblingMadness/York as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.
Having rated the beer^ I'll now read the can for clues! Contains black treacle, no other info of style/tasting notes to be found.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
