Poured from a 32 ounce crowler. It looked like a malt whiskey poured in my taster's glass. Smelled of malt whiskey and tasted like whiskey beer. It was damn good. Woodford Reserve casks. Works for me. Do not drink this and drive. Very far.

22 oz. bomber poured into snifter
L: clear honey gold ... light and brilliant up to light; topped by about 3/4-inch head of white foam; almost no sticking or lacing, keeps a tight collar of white foam
S: malt ... loads and loads of sweet biscuit malt with a hint of tropical fruit; sweet wine as it warms, like a dessert wine
T: a lot more hop character than the nose, both a little bitter floral bite and some tropical fruit flavor, pineapple, orange ... something else that's hard to place, like a bit of floral flavor mixing with the fruit, jasmine or thyme (?); the alcohol does add a bit of heat, but it's not overbearing and it's not medicinal or antiseptic ... just a little vodka heat
F: ale soft, a bit slick but with enough carbonation to make it work
O: cool brew ... the big sweet nose mixes well with the more hoppy flavor; a perfect lighter malt sipper that packs quite a wallop

Had this on tap at the Yard House in Austin. Served in a 14oz goblet.
I would definitely advise allowing this one to warm up, as it's two-dimensional when served too cold: banana & alcohol dominate the nose and taste at that point. But as it's allowed to warm up, the complex fruitiness and barrel start to come through in a very good way. Alcohol still has a bit too much bite for 9%, but I bought a bottle to see if it mellows out over several months.
