This is a Blackberry India Pale Ale - while it lacks the stronger notes of its blueberry inspired cousin, Revolver's Dem Berries, this beer is good for what it is. As someone that actively seeks out blackberry and blueberry flavored beers of all styles, I can say that blackberry lacks the distinctive flavor or scent of any blueberry equivalent. Artificial blackberry is all over the map and actual blackberry depends wildly on if it was fully ripe when picked or not. I've had some very sweet blackberries, I've had some very sour blackberries.
That being said - I like this beer. It gets the job done. The aroma has a heavy, toasty scent, with some vague citrus underlying it. Upon consumption, the citrus/floral taste is what stands out. This is by no means a sweet or sweet leaning beer, unless my sense of what is sweet has been completely wrecked by Mountain Dew. Neither do I find it to be bitter - it legitimately seems to sit in the middle of those two flavor profiles.
Would I buy this beer again? Well...probably not before trying out some other blackberry inspired beers first. If handed one at a party I certainly wouldn't say no, but on my quest to explore the variety of blackberry beers that come to market around this time of year, this isn't the ultimate say in the genre.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
