a chestnut brown body, roasted dark malts with a sugared overtone and a frothed chestnut bitter edge when slipping, separately good flavors but not balanseert in the execution

2nd prize winner at the annual dutch bockbeer festival.

Dark chestnutbrown colour, thin head, not a lot of carbonation.
The smell in very nice roasted malts and dark and dried fruits: berries, raisins. Some floral notes as well.
Taste is strong, actually quite strong bitterness. Hardly any of the often very dominant sweetness of dutch bockbeers. It's balanced and pretty tough. Makes this beer an interesting experience.
Medium body, and the alcohol is noticable, but overall this beer is very ok.
