Bottle poured into a pint glass.
This beer pours a very rich dark brown color that when held up to the light gives of strong reddish hues. The head disappeared quickly and left no lacing on the glass. The beer seems to be extremely highly carbonated. The aroma is a slight toasted sweetness that dominates the nose. The flavor of this ale is toasted and nutty grains, with hints of laced sweetness and a mild deep roasted flavor of maybe a good helping of chocolate malts. The ending finishes very sweet with a lingering of a cola flavor. This beer has a much better flavor than the aroma would have led me to believe. After sitting in the glass for a while the MF has calmed down a lot and lost a lot of the carbonation and is a light to medium body. It feels slightly slick and smooth on the palette.
Overall, this is a rather tasty ale. It isn't super complex but it is very enjoyable. A great brown ale to quaff and enjoy several pints of.
