Decanted bottle into belgian tulip...date not present...guy at brewery stated approx 8.8 abv...abv not listed on bottle...
A: nice frothy 1/2 inch head that's hanging around...a dark ruby nearly brown in low light...
S: Absolutely no hop aroma...an almost wine like smell...a little boozy...no malt character in the nose...very bland on the aroma side.
T: Super sweet...very little bitterness until the very end and its not pleasant...this is so fruity tasting you might think its a fruit beer...
M: negligible...maybe a little watery for the style...low carbonation...not bad...
Overall:
Not sure what to think of this...the phrase "there is no such thing as a bad brew, only a bad brewer" comes to mind...this is not...repeat not a DIPA in any sense of the name...its more of a low abv barley wine or a very un-hopped imperial red/amber ale...its super fruity, unbalanced, and virtually no hop character, which makes it cloyingly sweet and unenjoyable. If it was labeled as a barley wine I might have rated higher...but still would not have enjoyed. If you see it on tap, and its fresh, try it, but you've been warned. Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
