This is an exceptional Helles from Gols, Austria, located on the Pannonian Fields part of AT which is an extended part of the Little Hungarian Plain, geographically and climatically identical.
Why am I elaborating on this: because it is interesting that under the same conditions and same circumstances, people can make a perfect beer in Austria while only a few miles away in Hungary we cannot? It is a riddle indeed.
Nevertheless, this helles was really good. Not as dry and bitter as the German ones but still very pleasant and tasty. Had it in Parndorf after a huge tropical storm hit us and got stuck in a Billa there in the summer of 2024. The good times!
