Small brewery in the southside of downtown florence. Has an inside corner bar, a hall with tables, and a somewhat covered porch with more tables, dark aesthetic. They have about 15 taps with about half are theirs, the others are guest beers from around Italy and Belgium, mostly stuff I have never heard of. Service was friendly but not the most attentive, was more excited about smoking than the beer

Small brewpub, about 5 bar seats inside and 3-4 tables outside. Back area with additional seating. 6 house beers on draft and the rest were guest taps. Fridge off to the side with additional bottles from all over the Europe. English-friendly.

Archea Brewery is actually just a tasting room for the brewery. The beers are actually produced at another brewery in the Lake Como region. It’s nicely done style-wise, and fairly polished, but also with a bit of a punk feel thrown in. The bar is at the back, and is fairly small with about 10 seats. There’s more room upfront through, and plenty of room for standing. There are generally three house beers on tap, and nine others which are carefully chosen. The service is quite good, and in a city that doesn’t offer too much yet in the way of craft beer I’d certainly say it’s worth a stop. I think this is my favorite beer spot in all of Firenze.

My first stop in Florence as they have there own beer on tap, brewed in a town south of Rome home of one of the bar tenders. There own beer leaves a lot to be desired, certainly judging from the Hydra IPA I tried and there other beers I read reviews online. That was OK as they had 3 other Italian craft ales on tap as well as 3 imports. The Hammer Waverunner IPA went down much better. They had a very good selection of bottles available. Also available for the ever suffering girlfriend/ wife they had some quality wines in 375ml bottles from 10 euros. Prices for tap beers beer 5 euros for 400ml.

Archea Brewery was my first stop during my trip to Florence and I must say it was absolutely worth it. They had the friendliest and most knowledgable staff that I had the opportunity to meet. The decor was simple with a modest bar and a dozen plus tables. There were TVs but no one seemed to pay them any attention as the conversation and ambiance where more worthwhile. They had a modest tap selection, three of their beers and three others (although I was disappointed to find they were the only Italian brewery they had on tap) and a very nice bottle selection. I was able to pick up some Cantillon and some Italian breweries. The pricing was about the same as the other establishments that I visited.

I didn't have the food but they did offer free tortilla chips.

Very nice brewpub nor far from the town-center. When I was there (Feb 13), they had 2 own-brewed beers (Pils and Bock) and 4 guest-beers on tap (2 Italian micros and two from the UK (Brewdog IPA and Meantime stout). The own brewed beers were nice - the Pils was more a light IPA (or better: IPL), the bock was a traditional one in German style.
The two people at the bar were very friendly, spoke very little English but knew much about their beers. I remember paying 5,50€ for the pint, 3,50€ for a smaller glass (might have been 0,3 or 0,35l). And you can try a shot of each beer for free before you decide what you're going to drink!
