Brewery description: "This Fresh Hop Red IPA was brewed with hops from Mighty Axe Hops in Foley, MN. They were picked hours before being tossed into the brew kettle, giving this bold brew a bright citrus and grassy character. Rich malty caramel flavors provide a stable backbone for the firm bitterness of this hop-forward Red IPA."
Nice tasting Red IPA with a good toffee/caramel maltiness combined with a nice spicy/herbal hop impression. Comes together nicely. Medium bodied...a touch of bitterness on the long finish. Enjoyable beer. Everything this place does is very good or better. By far the top brewery in the Brainerd Lakes area.
