Pours from the bottle a dark plum red with two fingers of bubbly off-white head. The aroma is predominately rum, with toffee and spice. The taste is similar to the nose. It's a boozy spiced strong ale. Medium mouth that warms the tongue, and the carbonation clears the palate nicely. A strong ale was the perfect base to carry this one. I find myself liking it more than I would have imagined.

Pours a slightly hazed amber/orange with a pinky of pearl white head. Slightly above average head retention & lacing
S: Figs, cinnamon, leafy hops
T: Follows the nose, dryness, nutmeg up front. Pears, figs & persimmons as this warms. Much cinnamon, maybe some carrot, a little jammyness as this warms, leafy hops. Finishes spicy, fruity & jammy with leafy hops
MF: Light/medium bodied, firm carbonation
Drinks okay, this one really didn't work for me on all levels. This is the direct opposite of the Pappy ( loved that ). Maybe if you want to age this it will turn into something, right now I'm not seeing it
