Opens with a loud pfft and pours a lovely, clear dark ruby color with a half-finger of tan head that quickly settles into a meaty wisp and crown.

The nose is a mild mix of brown bread, leather, cherry cough syrup, caramel and a hint of vinegar.

The fruitiness and other sweet elements are even more restrained in the taste, and joined by some raisin. There’s a touch of acidity, and a dry, slightly bready finish.

The mouthfeel’s medium bodied and sticky with tight carbonation.

This beverage has a really nice, understated complexity to it. Maybe I’m spoiled on barrel-aged beers these days, but this is far more quaffable than I expected. Very enjoyable.

No bottling date, but I was gifted this in early 2018, so it’s at least that old.

I've had this cellared for the last year. Fresh, I remember it being not quite there. All the basic quad notes were there with ample oak and booziness as the kicker.

Still looks the same, dark brownish amber with fizzy tan head.

Still smells nice, all the expected dark fruits make an appearance. The presip attributes of this beer are on the money.

Once it breaks the barrier of your mouth hole, things go downhill. The mouthfeel is too thin, the flavor is licking overripe grapes smashed against an oak fence. I'm surprised the year wait only worked to put the oaky/woody note on the forefront, it did little to settle the alcohol heat.

I'm partial to the style, and it's made right up the road, and I have 4 bottles left that I'm going to have on each birthday as it ages...so I actually like this beer. Rough around the edges? Yep. Doesn't quite come together as a "good" quad? Yep. To me, a mediocre quad is better than a lot of things, so my overall score is going to be a little higher than it aught.

First beer on tap at an Oklahoma Brewery exceeding 3.2% ABV.

Pours out dark brown and ruby red with a tall tan froth.

Smell of burnt sugar, plum and grape.

Taste is fairly complex but thin. Notes of black grape, grain, yeast and fusel alcohol mingle but never hit it off. Somewhat bitter in the finish and leaves a candied sweetness on the lips.

Way thinner than expected with medium carbonation.

While the Oklahoma beer scene is definitely taking off, it's beers like this that show how far we have to go to be a true beer destination. There are too many like it, and not enough stars. But hey, there's no reason things won't continue to get better and better in all aspects.

I had very high expectations and was very very excited about trying this beer. I could not wait to get my hands (and taste buds) on this beer.... And now I am somewhat disappointed. The bouquet is like raspberries, the carbon dioxide was on the lower end and the glamour is different than the Belgian beers with an used to (note this is Belgian style beer made in Oklahoma City).
I still like it, but it is not a Belgian style beer (in my opinion).

Pours an effervescent crimson/mahogany with a pinky of tan head. Nice viscous look to this, average lacing & head retention

S: Plums, raisins, not much else

T: Follows the nose, I also get a little barrel ( bourbon) & dryness, plus leafy hops up front, a little boozeyness as well . Raisins, figgyness, slight Whisky flavor as this warms, a little toffee as well. Finishes with oaky dryness, figgyness, a touch of booze, plus a touch of peaty booze

MF: Medium body, fairly slight carbonation

These guys are impressing me with many of their barrel aged offerings, this isn't their best, but still highly recommended. This a little bit of a sipper, but rewarding

Smells like salty cherry pie. Cherry, plum and brine. Has a bite and finishes smooth. Defiantly will buy again.

Pours from the bottle a deep brown with reddish edges. Great aroma of boozy oaky vanilla and dark fruits. The smells transfers to the taste. Booze, vanilla, cherry and plum. There are definitely spices picked up from the Festivus that was in the barrels previously. There's a little bite that should mellow with time, but it's drinkable. Medium mouth. It's a solid barrel-aged quad that should improve with age.
