Deep copper-colored pour, creamy, effervescent appearance. Slight haze. Head with lacing: Nice and creamy.
Nose is candied malt note like cotton candy with yellow cake, nice, but very good and subtle.
Taste is an earthy, malty blend with some grapefruit citrus/ bitterness and finishing rye but in a sweet way with the same flavor notes I experience when smelling it in the glass. It’s a sweet one, but earthy/ slight pine notes ground it and keep it from being sloppy sweet....although it’s robust and rich which keeps this a sipper (I feel like I could get full).
Feels creamy and smooth, velvety, chewy, and some stickiness at the finish. Lingering sweet citrus with the (peppery) cotton candy hint.
Tasty no doubt.

On tap @ Chick N Beer. An 8%+ beer poured into 16 oz shaker pint at standard US temp. Good thing I'm not driving soon.

Pours to thin white head thst laces and lasts. Hazy, dirty copper. Aroma is juicy, spicy hops and rye. Flavor is surpisingly grain forward yet balanced with a ton of juicy, spicy hops. MF is light on CO2 and that's a very good thing. Love this beer.

Pours a hazed amber with 3 fingers if Ivory colored head. Stays hazy, sheets of lacing & great head retention

S: Doughy, cakey, a little peppery

T: Peppery, dry, a little cakey up front, some woody hops. Biscuitty dryness, peppery rye & herbal hops as this warms. Finishes cakey, dry, with woody hops & a little peppery rye

MF: Medium body, firm carbonation

Drinks easy, not a great take on the style, but pretty good

look - hazy dark copper color with a slight lasting head and good skimming
smell - really hoppy with mango, grapefruit and some rye spice
taste - same taste as the smell but less fruit more rye spice, a lot more. Pretty bitter after taste.
feel - medium light body and carbonation.
Overall - pretty good! Could use more carbonation to make it better.
