Bottle with expiry date as 5/27/14. Picked up from the brewery this past weekend. Served at about 7 degrees in a pint glass.
Appearance: It pours a dark brown, cola-like colour. A 1-2 cm head formed but disappeared quickly. No lacing. 3.25
Smell: Coffee, chocolate with malt up front. 3.
Taste: Mostly coffee and malts. Not too much of a nuanced beer. 3.25
Mouthfeel: Very smooth, little carbonation. Probably the most enjoyable aspect of this beer.
Overall 3.25. Decent porter, but nothing outstanding.
