Appearance - Pours a dark chocolate brown with two fingers of foamy cream coloured head.
Smell - roasted malts, cocoa, cinammon, hint of vanilla, and hint of earthy and leafy hops.
Taste - roasted malts and cocoa followed directly by the spices of cinammon and hint of vanilla. The hint of earthy and leafy hops finish the brew off.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation. The spices linger in the aftertaste.
Overall - A "spiced" porter that delivers on the spices. I feel as though some of the traditional porter elements hit lost in this brew because of the spices.
