A rebellious and angsty band of hops joins the stage with Canadian grown malts to deliver a message of loud hop flavor, aroma and malted rage. Dry-hops added in multiple stages of fermentation drive home a progressive, complex aromatic profile designed to leave your ears screaming to hear another pint!

A couple of pint cans picked up at The Cave in Kirkland, Washington.
Poured in to a nonic pint glass.

Look- Hazy, darker golden amber color, solid off-white head with great retention and ample lacing. Light carbonation streaming as it sits.

Smell- Sweet citrus (orange/tangerine and grapefruit), sweet caramel malt, a bit of resinous pine and grassy/floral notes.

Taste- Follows the nose well. Grapefruit and orange with a fairly bitter resinous pine bite in the finish.

Feel- Medium bodied, crisp and pretty well balanced. Moderate carbonation on the tongue.

O- A fairly basic but solid PacNW DIPA. Price point is great as well. Definitely worth checking out if you find it.

First of all, best album and pictorial references of the year. Mad props, Loowit.

Onto the beer, from the beautiful 16oz can:

Surprised to see this come out looking like your classic DIPA. Deep bronze, relatively clear, with a foamy off white head that leaves magnificent lacing.

Pretty simple aroma that doesn't quite punch in the face. Pine, grapefruit, and some orange rock candy. That's about it.

Similar with the flavor. Mind you, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's actually quite nice. Pungent citrus and pine with just a touch of sugary fruitiness.

Now that I think about it, this beer is scary. 8.6%? Drinks like a standard IPA thanks to a clean and very crisp body, moderate carbonation, and a decidedly bitter presence from start to finish.

I'm on board. Clearly, Loowit wasn't only in it for the bucks with this one. By no means was this a bleak one, indeed. Cheers
