Smooth and easy drinking. Lovely beer . The price is great as well. I found it for 8.49 in New York. I Love Genesee.

Dark drinkable lager.
Lots of dark chocolate, with some coffee notes.
Some caramel in there.
I would love to try a nitro version of this.
It's not the smoothest beer with some off notes at the end.
For 8.99 a 12 pack give it a try. I bought this because the Oktoberfest was all out.

On tap at The Genesee Brew House in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark color, with a small white foamy head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like bitter chocolate, heavy roast, smoke, and piney hops.
This is really solid. It's really full-flavored for the lower ABV, with light smoke and big heavy roast, with some light chocolate running through it, and a bit of fruitiness. There's a touch of bitter hop character as well.
This is medium bodied and very creamy, with a very slight lingering bitterness.
To no one's surprise, Genesee has made yet another great traditional German-style lager. It's certainly their strongest game.
