On tap at the Genesee Brew House in Rochester, NY.
Pours a dark rusty looking red, with a large, 1.5 inch head, and tons of foamy soapy lacing.
Smells like dank piney hops and toasty bready malt.
The taste is similar. Somewhat one-note, but delicious nonetheless- hits all the right notes. Deliciously crisp piney hop bite, very bitter and very herbal, with a creamy malty backbone, tons of toffee caramel and toasty bready goodness.
Medium bodied, creamy, clean mouthfeel. High carbonation level.
Genesee is one of the most underrated breweries out there- they make some really delicious stuff.
