Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep copper color with an almost non existent head. The tiny fizzy head is gone in a flash, leaving just whips on the surface of the brew.
Smell- The aroma is of a sweet brown sugar and caramel smell mixed with some nice roasted bready aromas. Along with these aromas comes some lighter herbal and grainy smells, producing a very nice aroma overall.
Taste – The taste begins sweet and bready as one may have expected from the nose. The sweet is mostly of brown sugar, but contains some molasses as well. As the taste advances some more roastiness comes to the tongue and is joined by some lighter herbal and floral tastes. At the very end some grain and a little bit of extra fruitiness in the form of a fruity taste comes to the tongue, leaving on with a rather malty and sweet taste overall.
Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is on the slightly thicker and chewier side with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the rich malty and lightly hopped roasty taste the feel is quite nice and creates a rather robust sipper all at a more moderate abv of only 5.5 %.
Overall- A pretty decent and rich low abv altbier. Not the greatest, but rather decent overall.

12oz brown bottle, sample from the brewery.
Great looking brew, some lacing action happening after each sip on the glass. Clarity is there with a dark reddish amber hue. Malty nose with an almost taffy-like tone. Smooth and crisp and showing some body. Malt forward to start, a glimpse of sweetness is quickly set aside. Floral and some mild bubblegum flavors in the middle. Ample hop bitterness for the style but no real character there. Not clean enough IMO, tastes like an malty American Amber Ale. Good drinking regardless.
