On tap at Genesee Brew House in Rochester, NY.
This pours a light reddish-amber, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
Smells like resinous dank pine, burnt grapefruit rind, and toasty malt.
I wouldn't really be able to identify this as an IPL without knowing ahead of time. It's pretty nice, though- with a pretty intensely resinous bitterness, almost burnt in it's bitter taste, with a heavy bready malt backbone, and a hint of bitter grapefruit rind. I'm not sure how this took so many brewers to make, but I definitely like it.
This is lighter bodied, with a a good level of carbonation.
Definitely an interesting beer here- it doesn't feel like it needed to be made by 10 different brewers- but it was still tasty, and that's all that matters right?
