On tap at Genesee Brew House in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a dark brown color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
Smells overwhelmingly like sweet caramel and indistinguishable spices- this doesn't smell like it's going to very to style, unfortunately.
The regular canned Genesee Oktoberfest is miles better than this offering. This is too sweet, and too heavy. It tastes alright, but it's just in terms of how I understand this style.
This is medium bodied, too heavy style-wise, with a good level of carbonation.
This is a puzzling miss, as the canned Genesee Oktoberfest was quite good.
