On tap at The Genesee Brew House in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a very clear light straw yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells very minerally, with a light clean grassiness, some biscuity malt, and lemon rind.
This is basically nailed, as I would expect from this brewery. They sneakily make some of the best German-style beers in NY. It's got a light clean fruity mineral character, a clean grassy bitterness from the hops, and the lightest hint of crackery/biscuity malt. There's maybe a bit of pear or lemon, too.
This is incredibly light bodied, and super crisp and clean, with a good level of carbonation.
I'm not surprised that Genesee completely nailed this one. This is a great pilsner.
