This one pours a moderately hazy light orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like oranges and grapefruits, with a bit of corn and grain, and some pine.
This does a good job of showcasing what both breweries do well. It’s still a cream ale at heart - it was definitely possible this would just end up a hazeboi oat utopia, but it’s luckily more restrained. There’s a nice refreshing citrusy character up front, softened by the oats, with that corn grit on the back end reminding you that this is the beer that got you through college.
This is so refreshing and drinkable, with a great softness and a not much lingering bitterness.
I’m so happy that Genesee was the first brewery Other Half collaborated with after opening their Bloomfield/Rochester location. This worked out really well for me.
