This hazy IPA has wonderful citrus flavors and aromas from Pineapple Puree and a blend of Citra and Calypso hops used late in the boil. The malt profile enhances the citrus characters and perfectly balances the hops making this beer exceptionally juicy and refreshing.

On tap at the Genesee Brew House in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells, well, pineapple forward. There’s citrus, and a touch of pine, too.
Genesee tends to be kind of weak in the IPA department, especially when it comes to hazy IPAs. They are definitely old school, which I love, but that doesn’t translate well to IPAs. But this pineapple IPA is actually pretty tasty, which is nice, as I don’t really like fruited IPAs most of the time, and I don’t really like Genesee IPAs for the most part. It’s citrusy, with lots of pineapple, and it’s quite smooth.
This has a nice drinkability to it, with a great smooth finish.
This was a really pleasant surprise from a brewery that I would not expect to nail this.
