i enjoyed the more adventurous beers they are doing at the brew house, this blonde is well made and all but real basic as they go, not as compelling as some of the cream ale variants or even their pretty decent ipa, but its a better beer than basically anything i have had from the main genesee operation, and appreciate it as a fresh and light summer drinker. its crystal clear, light golden, more yellow, with a short but lasting white head on it and a simple aroma and flavor of fresh pale two row barley malt, a flash of clover honey, and a drying pils type grain character as well, very little hops or yeast character in this, but i like a basic pale grain flavored brew. its nice and fresh, has a little body to it, isnt overly light in that sense, and has the faintest yeast ester to it. a lightly candied center, really well refined by the finish, short of crisp but awfully easy drinking. nothing too spectacular here, but a nice glass of beer overall. i think its cool what they are doing with these smaller batch more crafty beers here!

Genesee Brew House Blonde Ale - Genesee Brewing Co. / Dundee Brewing Co. Poured from a growler into a glass mug, this brew's head is four fingers thick, secular lacing, and a deep golden transparent body.
I smell lively malts and even a touch of honey. Maybe its just me.
Tastes like earthier malts, lively grains, and again, a touch of honey. This is quite enjoyable. Not much hop presence here, but it wasn't expected either.
Mouthfeel with this beer is smooth and clean. Can't even tell I've been drinking beer.
Overall, a 4.75 for Genesee Brew House Blonde Ale - Genesee Brewing Co. / Dundee Brewing Co. This is a limites brewhouse release, so get it while its fresh!

Genesee Brew House Blonde Ale brewed by Genesee Brewing Co. / Dundee Brewing Co. This brew has an ABV of 5.20% , and the brew pours out a nice golden amber color with a nice white head. The smell is rich with flavors and sweetness. You also pick up on some grains and malts, and some hops. The smell is really inviting. Now for the taste, it is bold ,sweet. You pick up on the sweetness from the grains, and a mild bitterness from the hops. There is a lot going on in this brew. I like how this brew has a nice bold rich taste, but a smooth aftertaste. There is nothing overpowering about Genesee Brew House Blonde Ale, it has a nice balance it. The mouthfeel is nice, clean and bold. Like I said before there is a lot going on in this brew. Overall I'm giving Genesee Brew House Blonde Ale a 4.5 out of 5. I would buy this brew again.
Thank You Genesee Brew House.

On tap at the Genesee Brew House in Rochester, NY.
Pours a glowing golden yellow, with a one inch head, and a little bit of lacing down the glass.
Smells include grassy hops, sweet malt, some citrus.
The taste is similar. This one goes down very easy. Some yeasty bitterness, a bit of grassiness, some lemon and orange. Slightly musky.
Light bodied, crisp mouthfeel, medium carbonation.
A easy drinking simple summer beer, this was pretty nice.

This brew was served from the tap at The Genesee Brew House in Rochester, NY. It arrived in a Genesee Beer pint glass glowing a golden straw coloring. It held a one finger head of creamy white bubbles, showing nice retention. Thick sheets and jets of lacing were left around the glass. Carbonation appeared mildly active, while no sediment or haze was noted. The aroma gave citric and dirty grassy hops. Sweetness came in the form of red apples and pineapple fruitiness, while the grain bill was pale, with deep adjuncts with warmth. There was a light toast on the back, with mild white flour, lemon rind bitterness, and citric fleshy zest. Biting plastic phenols and sweet fusel booze rounded things out. Our first impression was that the flavoring was very pale, with surprising hoppiness comparable to that of the American pale ale, but with a depth to clovey spice and lemon bitterness. The flavoring opened with lemon hop bitterness, pale and lighter malts, gravel, and grit. The middle peaked with more soapy hop varietals, peppery spiciness, soured citric rind, and orange flesh sweetness. The finish gave musk and malts, with aged cheddar cheese sharpness, bittering citric hops, pale and toasty malts, and black pepper bitterness. The aftertaste breathed of booze, apples, white sugar, pale malts, adjuncty malts, souring lemon, and white vinegar acidity. The body was medium, and the carbonation was big and frothy. Each sip gave nice cream, froth, slurp, and smack, while the mouth was cooled and slightly puckered. By the end there was a chalky dryness and tannin-like astringency streaked down the palate and tongue. The abv was appropriate, and the beer drank easily.
Overall, what we enjoyed most about this brew was the nice flavoring, aroma, and good mouth on the back, making for a evenly well rounded beverage. The nose was crisp, fruity, and surprisingly hoppy, causing excitement straight away. The taste gave the same, but did, however, show deep chalkiness and flour at the end of the sip and aftertasting, losing it points. Otherwise, this guy was interesting for the style, and certainly refreshing for the palate.
