2014. Poured into a snifter from tap at taproom.
Color is near perfect dark amber with subtle ruby.
Aroma minimal with a bit of bready booze.
Taste is smooth. Raisin and toffee. No hop bitterness (my preference - english style). Nice aftertaste with little alcohol carryover.
Mouthfeel is as heavy as a good barleywine should be. Coats the mouth without any carbonation presence.
Overall a solid barleywine offering. Would be an excellent choice for someone just starting into barleywines.

Poured a dark amber color with a small, off-white head of fluffy foam. Sweet caramel and toffee aromas lead off then are backed up by piney hops. A great blend of sweet and bitter. Toffee, caramel and butterscotch flavors bring the sweetness while a piney hop presence balances things out. It was crisp and smooth.
