On paper this sounds spectacular. In reality it is kind of basic....not bad but not as interesting as I had hoped.

I wasn't sure what to expect but this is closer to a maibock than weizenbock. It's not bready but it leans that direction....the Maple adds very little...just a slight smack of sweetness....even with this it has a bit of a dryish finish....aroma is a little better than the taste with a nice sticky maltiness on the nose...

Nothing wrong with this....body is medium...clean....nothing off...hell of of a looker....light burnt orange with excellent clarity....just nothing real noteworthy....kind of a basic beer really

Appearance: Dark amber color with a small white head.

Smell: a slightly malty smell

Taste: A great blend of malts with a clean finish. It's very drinkable.

Mouthfeel: medium carbonation

Overall: a very enjoyable brew. I will be picking up a growler of this next time I stop.
