I was able to sample every beer this wood-nestled nano-brewery had on tap, but the only one I chose to "growler-up" and take home with me was the Altoberfest, a seasonal fall beer brewed in the spirit of Oktoberfest in Munich. This beer was a delight to sip, especially for those of us who couldn't make it to Munich for the festivities. When the top of the growler was popped, the aroma of sweet roasted nuts reached me. Poured into a pint glass from the brewery itself, the brew revealed its true beauty: a thick, foamy off-white head that left lacing down the perimeter of the glass. It shone a beautiful, foggy-copper brown. The taste mirrored the aroma in sweet roasted notes with a bit of a nutty flavor. The beer seemed to grow sweeter as it warmed.
Overall, a very drinkable beer that is easy to enjoy over time with friends, while reading a book, or by a patio fire.
