Poured into a pint glass at home from 32oz. half growler filled at the brewery.
Look: Semi-clear medium amber with nice creamy off white head.
Smell: Burnt caramel with strong sweet pine.
Taste: Hate to say this, but one of the bitterest beers I've ever had. So overpowering I can't pick up other flavors. I like bitter IPA's too. It is unbalanced but maybe is meant to be. For me it was disappointing.
Feel: Medium dry finish with HOP oil bitterness clinging to the sides of my tongue.
Overall: Sorry, can't recommend this beer.....from one IPA lover to another.

Bottle to becher pint glass, the appearance was a copper color with a two finger foamy white head that fell off at a slow pace to leave some subtle lace. The aroma had some pine and sweet onion up front and then just a touch of grapefruit rind bitterness. Ended with a little bit of sweet bread and caramel malt, and a little bit of earthiness. The flavor was moderately sweet with an ample amount of bitterness trying to come in for balance. Actually did a decent job. Aftertaste was caramel malt and grapefruit bitterness. Crisp semi-sweet citrusy to piney sort of finish. The palate was medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good. Overall, pretty good AIPA worthy of more pours.

From the 650 ml. bottle. Sampled on May 4, 2013.
It has a very attractive copper-amber pour which I found to be surprising but not unusual. Loads of off-white head that lingers to the end and leaves lacing as I drink it.
The aroma is of citrus, pine resin, and the Good Earth but at the same time subtle. The malts are there on the nose too.
The body is medium.
Unlike the aroma the hops tend to present themselves more flamboyantly yet not in an obnoxious way. The malts and biscuit are played down but also telling you not to forget about them. Mild bitterness and short lingering finish.

Pours a medium copper color with a huge creamy off white head that slowly recedes to moderate stickage. Smells of grapefruit, pine resin, and dankness, with a hints of bread and caramel and a very light earthy yeasty funk. The flavor is resinous pine with bits of citrus fruit and covering a sweet brown sugary bready malt base.Light fruity esters, a touch of alcohol, and a hint of earth. Light hop bitterness lingers long after each sip. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet resinous mouthfeel. Nice serviceable IPA, nothing earth shattering, but nothing too scary either.

A: pours a fairly dark amber color, hard to see through. Two finger head with good retention and lacing.
S: floral and pine hops, resinous and slight dank, with just a hint of citrus. Big malt base, a lot of caramel and a very slight nutty quality. Pretty sweet and dark, seems more like a hoppy amber.
M: medium body, moderate carbonation. Has a slightly creamy quality. Decent resinous finish, a little sweet though.
O: seems to dark and sweet for an ipa, wasn't as bright tasting as I'd like. Would work well as an amber I think.
