Just a short section of I-64 separates Smartmouth from the Albemarle County farm where this brew’s whole-flower Cascade hops were grown. One day they were on a vine; the next, they were in our beer. We timed this brew with the Virginia hop harvest to take advantage of the vibrant aromas and flavors attributed to fresh hops. Note the enhanced floral and grapefruit tones in this brew.

Poured a copper body with good head and lace. A grassy, veg like aroma. Sharp, biting hops yet good citric flavor and touch of sweet malts for balance so beer is smooth and hides ABV.

Growler fill on 9/5. Pours an orangey-brown. Was expecting eh...more. For a wet hop, it's not a knock down-punch in the face IPA.
