12oz can, no date on can, but label from Total Wine has 06/18/2021 on it. Served in a tulip glass.
Appearance: Hazy/cloudy (lets very little light through) golden amber, with a thick off-white head. Thick strands and islands of persistent lacing.
Smell: Citrus (orange mostly), with some fresh cut tropical fruit and a tiny bit of something floral as well.
Taste: Bitter up front (citrus bitterness) that passes quickly to a cracker-like malt and more citrus and tropical fruit notes. Finish is lightly bitter, again with citrus-type bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Strong carbonation (not quite brisk, approaching fizzy) under a chewy mouthfeel. Some stickiness on the teeth.
Overall / Drinkability: Hoppy...but I find it a bit one dimensional - all hops with not enough balance. And yet it is not exceedingly bitter. It seems like it's trying to be like a NEIPA, but with traditional AIPA flavoring. It's good, just not great. I'm finding one is enough.
