There doesn't seem to be a date on the can.
Appearance: It is a black-bodied beer with a large khaki-brown head. The head has large soda-like bubbles around the glass and smoother fizzy ones near the top. It has good retention but only a few sparse spots of tiny lacing.
Aroma: There is an aroma of burnt wood and a light hint of baker's chocolate.
Taste: Up front there is a burnt wood flavor with a very light hint of cocoa. Towards the middle of the mouth there is a somewhat metallic burnt carbon flavor. Burnt carbon in the back of the mouth and in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: The body feels about medium when it's on the palate but thin when drinking it. Carbonation feels high. There is a moderate charred bitterness.
Overall: The can states that this is a "CHOCOLATE CHERRY MILKSHAKE STOUT." There is a bit of chocolate character which comes across mostly in the aroma, and as a darker baker's chocolate. There is no cherry to be found here at all, in either the aroma or the flavor. The beer feels much to thin to be called a "MILKSHAKE" as the can puts it. Even for a milk stout it feels thin. As a whole it was pretty disappointing and it isn't something I'd recommend or drink again.
