There is a spot on the can that says "CANNED ON:" with a space below it, but no date is printed or stamped.
Appearance: The body is an opaque brownish-beige color that looks like a dark manila envelope. It has a large off-white colored head that is creamy and has excellent retention.
Aroma: It smells a bit like floral soap with notes of garlic, onion, and bay leaf. It has a very savory aroma.
Taste: Up front there is some pineapple. Towards the middle an orange character comes through with a touch of alcohol. It finishes with a light grassy character.
Mouthfeel: The body feels on the upper edge of light with a touch of a raspy bitterness that grinds the palate a touch. There is a mild bitterness which is akin to a Pale Ale.
Overall: The can states that this is a "HAZY INDIA PALE ALE" and that it is "6.0% ALC. BY VOL." It feels a touch rough on the palate and rather grassy on the finish. The alcohol also seems to come through which is a bit strange for a beer with an ABV that is low on the spectrum of IPA's. Appearance-wise it is more like a New England IPA rather than an IPA that happens to also be hazy. The text on the can also says "SOFT. HAZY. HUGGABLE." and the beer is not quite soft; it is rough around the edges. As a whole it feels like an average attempt at a New England IPA. It's not one I would buy again or recommend but it's one of those beers you could drink if somebody handed you one at a get-together.
