From the label on the can, just under the barcode: "CANNED ON 03/23"
Appearance: The body is a light gold color. It has a medium haze to the beer which is very noticeable but letters and shapes are still somewhat visible through the glass. It has an oversized fluffy white head which has excellent head retention and great lacing. It barely recedes while in the glass. 3.5
Aroma: There is some herbal hop aroma with a light skunky aroma. A bit of lemon zest scent is also present. It has a bit of corn aroma. After the beer sits for a bit the skunky scent goes away and it picks up a bit of a raspberry note with a bit of passion fruit. 3.5
Taste: There is a bit of a biscuit flavor to the beer that goes away after the first couple of sips. There isn't a lot of flavor up front; a bit of a corn flavor and wheat cracker character. It ramps up a lot towards the center of the palate with herbal notes like bay leaf and a dull mint character. There is a fairly strong cedar character towards the back of the mouth mixed with a slightly sweet malt note. The aftertaste is cedar. 3.0
Mouthfeel: It has a medium hop bitterness and a medium-light body with a slight texture to it. Carbonation feels fine.
Overall: The can simply states that this is a "LAGER" although it feels closer aligned to an India Pale Lager than anything else. It has some pretty good hop characters which come across mostly as herbal and woodsy in the flavor, and a bit berry or fruit-like in the aroma. It feels like a beer that still needs some more fine-tuning but it was good. It's worth trying a single can or pour. I might drink it again but it wouldn't be something that I would seek out.
