Poured a brown body with decent head and lace retention on top of an aroma that is malty, mostly a sweet malt base like chocolate with caramel and some bready roastiness. Beer is light to medium bodied, the malts are balanced and noticeable but very generic and there is not a whole lot going on - basically, a hodge podge of chocolate and roasted malts with a caramel, bread, almost crackerlike dryness and dry finish.

Served on tap at Public House in a pint glass.

Very nice, smooth ale. Just a touch light in the feel, but the taste is very solid. An easy drinker, with no discernible negatives. Goes great with food and seems to be a year-round drinker. Nice effort that I could drink again.
