Pours opaque black with a half-inch beige head that disappears completely and leaves spots of lace. The smell is of maple syrup, cocoa and oak. The taste follows with maple syrup, cocoa and an almost herbal quality that is unpleasant. Full texture with low carbonation. Not sure if the herbal/earthy notes here are intentional but, they seem out of place.
