I tried an 8oz pour of this beer off the tapper at the brewery whilst in Grand Rapids for "guys beer weekend". It poured a dark amber color with Ecru head that left some lace. The scent had peat and booze notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet chocolate malt base coupled with booze, earth, and roast presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.
