I tried an 8oz pour of this beer off the tapper at the brewery whilst in Grand Rapids for "guys beer weekend". It poured a dark amber color with off white head that left some lace. The scent had earth and tobacco notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet caramel malt base coupled with peat and toffee presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
