16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam, It left sudsy sheets of lace. It smelled of chocolate, toffee, cream and caramel. Sweet milk chocolate taste with a toffee and a hint of bitterness.

Appearance: A hard pour yields a two finger beige head crowning the midnight brown liquid; decent retention that leaves some spots behind
Smell: Burnt toast, milk chocolate and a hint of coffee
Taste: Milk chocolate forward with some burnt toast and coffee flavors restricting the sweetness; moderately bitter, through the middle, with the chocolate returning, in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: I always enjoy a milk stout that keeps the sweetness in check; the burnt toast and coffee tones here are a pleasant surprise
Thanks, Chilmer, for the opportunity

16 ounce can, canned on JUL 15 2020. Thanks to my buddy Denis for getting this for me on a recent trip! Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like roasted malt, dark chocolate and some cream. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some coffee and burnt/charred malt flavors. I think it's more roasty/ashy than it is sweet. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, was expecting it to be sweeter tasting but wasn't disappointed in this one at all. Certainly worth picking up!

Drank from a 1 pint can acquired in a trade with cpsfgd
Canned on JUL/15/20
Served in a shaker pint glass
Medium bodied, dark brown/black appearance. The shimmery looking liquid was topped by a two-finger tall, super tight and creamy, saddle brown head that slowly fell to a thick, lasting collar. Patches of drippy lacing stuck all along the glass.
The nose was really roasty and bold. Big roasted malt presence. Touch of dry graininess too. Some vanilla and lactose-like sweetness were also detectable. As the beer warmed, more sweetness appeared. Hint of bakers chocolate and caramelized sugar too.
The flavor profile was drier and roastier than the aroma. Deeply roasted malts dominated. Fairly ashy and almost a touch burnt. Espresso was noticeable in the center. More roast on the back end and the finish. Notes of charred, bitter grain lingered after the swallow.
Medium bodied mouthfeel. Creamy, slick and smooth on the palate. The liquid contained a finer bubbled, greater-than-average effervescence.
Although it has been a while since I tried a non-ajuncted milk stout, this example seemed to be a drier and roastier take on the style and reminded me of an Irish dry stout. Because craft beer enthusiasts seems to have far less of a tolerance for roast and bitterness than they used to, offerings like these are increasingly rare.

Pours black with big fluffy white head.
Aroma is roasty with some chocolate.
It’s a solid example of a milk stout, very creamy, restrained roast lots of sweetness from both the lactose and the chocolate pudding dark malts.
Mouthfeel is very soft and creamy, borderline like a nitro beer.
Overall it’s solid, not my favorite, but everything from this brewery is rock solid.

Confluence Milk Man Milk Stout, 5.9% ABV. Pours black with a two-finger brown head that left no lacing. Nose is lactose and roast malt. Taste follows with sweet milk, moderate bitter roast malt. Decent smooth mouthfeel, overall excellent. Session stout?
