Pours dark amber with absolutely no head.
The aroma is full of sweet malts and dark fruits. It's very plum and date forward.
The flavor is outstanding, the base beer is one of my favorites and this is just on another level. You get the rich caramel maltyness, tons of dark fruit and a very nice touch of bourbon, that I feel is done perfectly. It doesn't over power the base beer and just gives it a nice vanilla oakiness on the back end. Outstanding beer.
