As decadent as our Older Dirtier Kent’s Bourbon Barrel Barleywine is, we wanted to push the bounds even further into the realm of pure indulgence. After 12 months in bourbon, we doubled down on the dried fruit character in the base beer by resting it on sumptuous, honeyed figs for several months more. Former Cognac barrels provided a secondary aging vessel–primed to compliment the caramel notes of the barleywine while infusing some vinous complexity into the mix. The final product is sumptuous, lavish, and guaranteed to turn any day into a special occasion.

Had on tap. Purple tinted brown opaque body, beige collar. Fig bomb alert, is that a thing? It is now! Huge fig backed by the port and bourbon barrel with complimentary rich toffee, barley, slight maple and other dark fruits in both the smell and taste. It is extra but it really does work, especially in the nose where the saturation of flavor doesn't build like it does slowly in the taste. Luxurious, rich, decently thick, full, yet elevates on the finish though sugars build. If you love figs, this one is for you! The wide would have loved it if she had tried it
