At night I’d have these wonderful dreams Some kind of sensuous treat Not a Bitter, IPA, or American Wheat But rich chocolate malts, smooth and sweet Midnight in Paradise Heaven on Earth ain’t a Weiss A Tropical Stout is twice as nice It’s just like Midnight in Paradise I like mine with debittered malt Make it smooth and black as asphalt Toasted Coconut in a refreshing dark beer Well, good gosh almighty which way do I steer For my Midnight in Paradise I’d gladly pay twice the price Worth every darn bit of sacrifice To get Midnight in Paradise Get me Midnight in Paradise I’m just drinking Midnight in Paradise

Very little head, and transparent dark brown. Smell was almost non-existent to start but grew into pleasant roast and cocoa with some fruity notes. Taste is closer to a nut brown or porter and really has very little tropical flavor at all. Feel started syrupy but settled into being more fizzy and bitter. Not a bad beer, but not a stout and not tropical. A decent porter, but I wish it had better head retention and less dizziness.
