Several years ago, a group of Iowa natives and Louisiana transplants hosted Des Moines' first annual Cajun Fest, bringing people together to enjoy authentic food and lively music. The festival has raised thousands of dollars for youth focused charities in our community, so when the organizers of the Fest reached out to see if we wanted to brew a beer for the event, we were stoked!We figured a traditional German-style Festbier made a lot of sense- after all, it was designed to be paired with good food, dancing, carousing, and music during the weeks of Oktoberfest. It's perfect for washing down some crawfish, gumbo, andouille, or even beignets- so grab a Refresh and let the good times roll!
