From a classic Czech Pilsner to the trendiest of milkshake IPAs, kiln dried and pellet used hops are the industry standard for almost every beer. But once a year, when the fresh hops are ready for harvest, we brew a “Wet” Hopped IPA. We overnight freshly picked Strata from the hop yards in the Pacific Northwest, and within 48 hours these unlinked hops go directly from the bike into our kettles. We keep the malt bill simple to allow that distinctively smooth, fresh hop character to shine through. In fact, most of the fresh hops are saved for the whirlpool, where the Strata is encouraged to impart its passionfruit, strawberry and resinous flavors and aromas to the beer without excess bitterness. It’s brewed fresh to be enjoyed fresh - so be sure to get some while it lasts!

Canned 9/19, enjoyed on 10/5.
Wow, an honest to goodness west coast IPA?! A well made one too! This one is winning points based on my nostalgia right now. But in fairness it is a tasty beer, with a solid bitter backbone. Crystal clear, dry finish without the crystal malt confusion. Head was pretty but diminished too fast. Aroma is clean and malt shows up there alongside the crisp and lightly fruity hops. Not world class, but darn good!
