I absolutely love the idea, this one just didn't pan out well as a style. Keep innovating though!
The pepper character is raw and charred. It really needs a stronger malt base to pull it back in balance and is dying for some toasted notes in the beer to hook up with; by contrast you can really see why the Mexican chocolate stouts work so well.
