The appearance was a dark brown color with a sustaining finger’s worth of tan foamy head. Dissipated slowly and left some spotty lace. The aroma had some roasted coffee bean, light dark chocolate nibs. Ends with a little bit of earthiness. The flavor seemed to blend fairly nice between the roast, chocolate nib bitterness and the earthiness. Not much of an aftertaste. Finishes dry with a bittersweet clingy-ness. The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt reasonable. Overall, pretty good session dry stout worthy of having again.
