look: 3.75 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3.5
by farrago from New Jersey
Pours a large frothy head, orange tinted tan color, moderate retention, minimal lacing. Soft translucency to the light amber hued liquid, a few randomly dispersed bubbles visible. Honey, orange rind, cracker, and pine sap make the first impression in the nose, medium grade damp dankness, syrupy texture to the pineapple, peach, apricot, green melon fruit scents, nothing unusual to note. Full-bodied, softly if steadily carbonated, helps release some of the heft. Honeyed and close to maple syrup. Tangerine pulp, concentrated sweet pineapple, melon, apricot fruit. Pine, scone notes, after half the tall boy is gone it’s clear that there’s nothing wrong with the beer. Likewise, there’s nothing to really make it stand out from the crowd. No problem chugging it down but wouldn’t go out seeking more. (No canning date visible)
