had both on tap and in the growler. a nice reddish/amber hue common in rye beers. alot of quickly disappearing off white foam. the foam almost instantly disappears and resinates on the side of the glass. it looks oily.
smell is a mellow mixture of both earthy and piney hops that is pretty strong upfront. a little bit of alchohol is present.
taste: very fresh pine kick in the beginning that moves smoothly into the rye malts and a sort of mixed finish.
mouthfeel: oily
drinkability: deceivingly refreshing. cleanses the palate at first but leaves the mouth oily and wanting water. affordable and would certainly be enjoyed by many hop heads.
