Hand-pulled pint in the Oakwell Breweries only pub in Shropshire: The Seven Stars at Cold hatton on 27th Oct 2012 during a local CAMRA surveying trip.
Light copper body with a thin white covering of foam.
No great aroma from this: I got hints of fruity, floral hops and mild esters of malts, but I had to dig deep for them.
The actual taste was leaning towards the malts a little more than the bittering hops, fairly bland and uninteresting compared to the Barnsley Bitter and the Mild on offer.
The body seemed thin and lacked depth of flavour: refreshing enough but I expected more after having a pint of the breweries 3.8% ABV Barnsley Bitter first.
It may well be named after the breweries founder Guy Senior, but I bet he wouldn't be too pleased to know his name is on this beer!
