Poured into a Dogfish traditional oversized snifter. No freshness date.
A- Pours a 99% opaque black color with a 1/2 inch light brown head that retains well before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a large streak of sheer surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves a solid ring behind.
S- Unimpressive roasty coffee aroma with a bit of chocolate sweetness.
T- Burnt, cheap coffee flavor that's borderline acrid. The sweetness that was found in the aroma is nearly nonexistent and instead there's just bitter acidity.
M- Thin and sharp with medium carbonation and a fullish body.
O- When I had Crazy Mountain's Snow Cat coffee stout the other day, I thought I'd had the worst coffee beer I would ever have. I was wrong. This is unfinishable.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear thick viscous jet black in color with moderate amounts of gentle visible carbonation along the edges of the glass and some very faint dark cola brown highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy dark mocha head that slowly reduces to thick film covering the entire surface of the beer with a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of roasted malts and freshly roasted coffee beans with a lighter aroma of dark chocolate.
T: Upfront there is a moderate flavor of roasted malts with a light amount of dark chocolate sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of freshly roasted coffee and just a hint of earthy hops. Moderate amounts of lingering roasty bitterness which slowly fades away.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin but very smooth.
O: Very enjoyable and very nice flavored coffee oatmeal stout. Could use a touch more fullness to the body/mouthfeel but very easy to drink and quite smooth. Definitely one that I would grab again and it is a solid stout offering available in a can.

A - Black, with very little head to speak of.
S - Little smell to speak of. Oatmeal and malt is all I pick up on.
T - Taste isn't far off from the smell. There really just isn't a lot going on here. Malt is the foundation of this beer, with maybe a touch of chocolate and coffee.
M - Smooth, touch on the watery side. Very little carbonation to speak of. Too thin for an oatmeal.
O - Meh.

12oz picked up at Salud. Near pitch black pour, thin layer of off white and some present throughout.
Aroma, nice coffee, dark chocolate, oatmeal.
Taste, A nice mocha coffee blend. Has that oat twang. Just a tad watery. Very straight forward, but good.
Maybe medium body, higher level of carbonation present than I would prefer, but this probably increases the drinkability. Maybe the first session type coffee stout I've had.
