Thanks to BA Morningstorm for providing this generous extra in our recent trade. From a 750ml bottle to a tulip. The brew appears a clear straw yellow color with rushing bubbles of carbonation that rise to the surface in support of the 3 fingers of white froth that already resides atop. As the cap slowly fades, it leaves thick patches of sudsy lacing effect sticking to the glass. A light swirl revives a finger of yellowish stained cap back to the surface.

The aroma is filled with lemony citrus notes from the hops with a mild herbal character thrown in as well. There is a bit of a carbonic quality mixing with a light suggestion of minerals. There is an earthy and herbal component to the hops that evolves as the brew warms up. Overall, this is a pretty solid smelling offering without fault.

The taste includes that previously described lemony citrus aspect coupled with a solid bready grain base that has enough sweetness to keep it intriguing. The hops provide a decent amount of bitterness to contrast the residual sweetness and provide enough room for the hop flavoring to show some character of melon almost like cantaloupe. Mid palate and into the finish there is a flavoring reminiscent of green tea.

This is a medium to lighter bodied brew with a perfect level of modest carbonation that while visually seems a bit much, in the feel it is perfect to keep the flavors moving across the tongue. This is light and refreshing and a pleasant brew that I can't quite pinpoint a style for. The label reads "dutch pale ale." Ive added it as an american blonde ale since the color, carbonation and hop flavoring without bitterness seem more in line with that than anything else.
